We’ve produced a short video compilation about what matters to us as a community of people with lived experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u2018What matters to you?\u2019 day started in 2014 with the aim of encouraging and supporting more meaningful conversations between health and care staff, and individuals and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s about shifting the focus from \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with you?\u201d to \u201cWhat\u2019s important to you?\u201d. It asks more health and care staff to talk to the people they work with, find out what matters to them, and how they would like to be supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is part of the conversation at the heart of good personalised care and support planning, personal health budgets, and personalised care, and are such important conversations to have, and to have well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our video is to help to encourage more people to start having these conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
